Support for Young Researchers

In close cooperation with the Young Researchers in Mathematics Education (YERME), the FAME conference has dedicated activities and support for young researchers (planning to) attending the conference. In the light of the positive feedback received for the first FAME conference in 2024, we aim to repeat and improve the activities for young researchers carried out then. We planned  two activities and a reduced conference fee for our young researchers, described below.

We aim at supporting young researchers joining the conference by:

• Offering a dedicated slot within the conference timetable with some of the members of the IPC to discuss the research process and (methodological or other) questions related to their research.
• Offering a pre-conference online meeting in early December 2025 to support them in preparing a submission for the conference. We will advertise this meeting on the conference website and through our personal networks.
• Informal support at the time of reviewing papers will be also offered to young researchers on a case-by-case basis.
• Young researchers will have a reduced conference fee.
